Canada vs USA game

I found the Gold medal junior game between Canada and USA to be extremely entertaining, heart racing and breath taking all at the same time, but at different times in the game. The game was intense from beginning to end, Canada scored early in the game, but from that point on, it was head to head hockey. USA would score one to make it one all, then Canada again. This went on until the third point, then USA pulled ahead by two in the third period to make it 5-3 USA. When there was about five minutes left in the game, that’s when the pressure got to Canada. Canada began to panic and handled to puck extremely poorly and made unwise passes. USA players showed no sympathy for Canada by blocking not just one, but almost every shot that Canada had to throw at them in the third period, USA did a very good job defensively. When ever Canada did get a decent chance to have a shot, they ether missed or shot it right at the goalies chest. Canada just couldn’t get by the USA, until Jordan Eberle got two back to back goals within the dying minutes to make it 5-5 and force and over time. The over time did not last long, Canada got a few chances, one really good one; a drop pass at the hash marks then a bullet of a slap shot, but the USA goalie stopped that then passed it out. USA scored the very next rush, right after Canada shot it. John Carlson came down the left side at full speed, then took a wrist shot passed the Canadian goalie on the top left hand side. Canada battled hard all game, especially to come back 5-3, but couldn’t put it away in the end.
